Going to the pumpkin patch is one of my favorite fall activities. It brings back a nostalgic feeling from when my mom used to take me as a kid. Though my favorite part has shifted from the plastic pumpkin-shaped cups to the rich colors, smell of fall leaves and warm apple cider, the pumpkin patch still remains at the top of my to-do list during the cooler season.
Yesterday was one of those annoying days where it’s too cold for a short sleeve, but a little too warm for a jacket. Even though the forecast said the high was 75 degrees, I had just gotten this BP sweater in the mail and I didn’t care how hot it was going to be outside— I had to wear it. The mock neck detail is what initially drew me in, but once I received it I was obsessed with how soft it was. I paired a rust colored tank underneath for a layered look and as an extra option to wear if I started sweating (which, let’s be honest, I definitely did).
Iowa’s fall season comes hand-in-hand with a bright, beautiful sun, and that’s why sunglasses are a necessity for me. I’ve been loving these ones from Forever 21 not only because they’re super affordable, but they add a little extra color to a basic outfit. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s important to invest in one or two nice pairs of sunglasses, but I’m also a firm believer that they don’t have to be expensive to be functional (and cute, obviously).
Fall is my favorite season because the fashion is so warm and cozy— I love me an oversized sweater with a fab pair of boots. What’s your favorite fall fashion piece?
